Hello Coliver, we are back! In this edition we present you a collection of our latest discoveries and our favourites of the moment.

 

A serie

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story – Netflix

After the success of the series The Bridgertons we couldn’t resist the new prequel. A fictional story based on real events that tells us about the life of Queen Charlotte of England. Now available on Netflix.

The Dark Knight – Netflix

The new Korean fiction series set in a near-apocalyptic world due to toxic air pollution arrives on the Netflix platform on 12 May. The delivery boys are going to become heroes for the population.

Queen Cleopatra – Netflix

On 10 May, the second season of Queens of Africa will be released on Netflix. In this collection of episodes we will meet Queen Cleopatra, the most famous Egyptian ruler of all time. A documentary series that pays tribute to the great female figures who rose to power on the African continent.

Succession, Season 4 – HBO

The fourth and final season of Succession on HBO continues to surprise us episode by episode. The end of the series is getting closer and closer and we hope that the farewell will be a grand finale.

La Ruta – Atresplayer TV

Groups of friends and parties always leave stories to tell. “La Ruta” will tell us more than ten years of friendship and parties that we would all like to live but that only a few could remember.

 

A Spanish Cult Film

“Amanece que no es poco, José Luis Cuerda” – HBO, Amazon prime, Movistar Plus

Classic Spanish film of absurdist humour to have a good laugh with its surrealist script. Directed by José Luis Cuerda, it turns the idea we all have of the rural world on its head by showing us outlandish situations.

“Todo sobre mi madre, Pedro Almodóvar” – Netflix

Drama and comedy directed by Pedro Almodóvar. An interesting film with intrigue that goes through interesting themes about what it means to be a woman and a mother.

 

A cafe

Amazonia Madrid (C. del Marqués Viudo de Pontejos, 15 28012, Madrid)

One of the coolest places in Madrid for lunch, snacks, dinner or even cocktails. They also offer brunch all day long. Some of the dishes are gluten-free and in veggie variation. And if you go for breakfast, don’t miss the delicious açai they prepare.

Pum Pum Bakery (C. de la Esgrima, 1, 28012 Madrid)

This café is one of the top places to enjoy a good brunch in Madrid. With an immense catalogue of very tempting products of which we must highlight the croissants, in all their varieties.

 

A book

“Púa” – Lorenzo Silva

An epic and shocking thriller about the dirty war and the consequences it entails. Page by page you will learn what happens when we cross the red line that marks the limit of situations.

“Desear menos, vivir con el minimalismo.” – Kyle Chayka

With this book the author aims to critique and deepen the subject of minimalism. She shows us how this philosophy is more than a passing nothingness by delving into its origins. In his essay he demonstrates how minimalism seeks a deeper connection with the world.

Picnic Sunday in Madrid Río in front of Matadero

An outdoor plan on a sunny Sunday is to enjoy a picnic in Madrid Río in front of the Matadero, sitting on the grass in the green areas near the bridges. You can also stroll around the Matadero area where you can enjoy an afternoon of art, cinema or books.

One day tour of El Escorial

If you have a free day, take advantage of it to visit the Escorial where you will be able to visit the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo, the Garden of the Friars, the Prince’s House and its gardens, the Adolfo Suárez Park Viewpoint and many other places.
